Visite el Parque Nacional Cotopaxi
This time, I’m biking inside Cotopaxi National Park.
I’ve visited this area many times, but it’s rare to see the volcano so clear — it was an amazing view from the start.
After registering at the entrance (it’s free), I parked and switched to my bike. The ride started off sunny and scenic, surrounded by vegetation unlike other places like Chimborazo. It’s definitely more beautiful and diverse.
The trail was a mix of gravel and slopes, with strong wind making things harder. I passed small cafés and rest spots, but the dust from occasional cars was annoying. Despite that, the ride stayed enjoyable.
After around two hours, I reached Laguna Limpiopungo.
The views were stunning, and the sense of accomplishment was real. The uphill wasn’t easy — it takes effort and a good physical condition. But the descent? Pure joy. No more climbing, just riding and enjoying the landscape.
The full ride took about 4 hours total, including breaks. I’d recommend this route to anyone who enjoys nature, biking, and pushing their limits — or you can go up by car and bike just the fun part down.
